Longridge are excited to be launching the new Trio
Mount Cutter System at Focus on Imaging 2007.
The Trio is designed for cutting multiple mounts and
is therefore ideal for photographers and photographic
studios where presentation is vital – but so is time.
By setting the parallelogram on the Trio to the chosen
width of border, the Trio is quickly ready to cut as
many identical mounts as required. Commenting on the
new Trio, Christopher Longridge said “The Trio ensures
multiple mounts are cut consistently and accurately
to the size needed. Its introduction means that we
now have a mount cutter to offer the photographic studio
that combines Longridge quality with all the features
needed in a commercial environment.”
The Trio is available in two sizes, for cutting mountboard
up to 620mm and the Trio Plus for mounts up to 865mm
wide.
Also new at Focus 2007 is the new Longridge Bevel
Cutter with integral V groover. Development of the
Bevel Cutter now means that V grooving can be readily
achieved with any of the Longridge Mount Cutter systems
simply by an easy adjustment of the blade depth. “We
have been asked for a V grooving attachment but we
have gone one better by making the Bevel Cutter itself
capable of cutting this attractive form of decoration,
so it now comes for free with every system” said Christopher
Longridge.
Cutting technology is at the heart of any good mount
cutter and two important developments will be showcased
at Focus this year.
The new Longridge blade has been designed and manufactured
in the UK. “We are delighted with the design of the
new blade, cutting technology is advancing rapidly
and we work hard to make sure we keep up with the best
the industry has to offer” commented Christopher Longridge.
Yet another innovation from Longridge is the SprintMat.
This specially designed laminated board provides the
perfect base medium for the blade to cut into by guiding
the blade, resulting in straighter window edges and
a smoother cutting action.
Longridge will also be proudly presenting their new
DVD which is included with all Longridge Systems.
It provides detailed graphical instructions on how
to cut a professional quality mount and also gives
ideas on mount cutting design. It has a voice over
in five languages, English, French, German, Spanish
and Italian indicating the company’s plans for the
European market this year.
Longridge are exhibiting on Stand F29, Hall 9. As
always, demonstrations will be running continuously
on how to cut professional quality mounts with ease
and precision.
